Tips for Writing Complex Bodo Words using Bodo India Keyboard WX for Windows

To use this tutorial you must install Bodo Keyboard India, if you does not have the Bodo Keyboard India software then you must download and install it, you can get the software from here. Download Bodo India Keyboard

Now to Switch between the English or Bodo Keyboard you can use Left Alt+Shift. The AltGr is the right Alt in the Keyboard.

Trick 01: क्ल = क+्+ल = K+Z+L
Trick 02: श्र = श+्+र = (AltGr+S)+Z+R
Trick 03: त्र = त+्+र = (Shift+T)+Z+R
Trick 04: र्ज = र+्+ज = R+Z+J
Trick 05: र्ज्ज = र+्+ज+्+ज =R+Z+J+Z+J

Bodo Keyboard for Microsoft Windows

This is testing build version 1.0 of the Bodo Keyboard for Microsoft Windows Operating System. Using this keyboard support, you can write Bodo in any of the Windows application.

How to use?

To use this keyboard just extract using winzip and install by double clicking on setup.exe. Now open Microsoft word or any application and to write in Bodo navigate to the EN icon in the notification bar on the right bottom of start panel, click on it then select the Hindi (India). Our Bodo does not have Locale values in the Microsoft Operating System, so our bodo keyboard will be coming under Hindi (India) only.






Now to type like for

घ - G
ङ - f
च - c
छ - C
ज - j
झ -J
ञ - Ctrl+Alt+n
त - T
ट - Ctrl+Alt+t

and to write something like क्ल म्म etc...type like kzl and mzm..z is for combining character.

Resources of Bodo Language (BRX) available in the Open Source Software

Here we are going to discuss about Bodo Language having ISO-3 Code BRX available in the Open Source Softwares.
Name of The Language: Bodo Language Reference
CODE: BRX Reference
ORIGIN: Indo-Tibetan Reference
Native Speaker: Bodo People generally mostly found in India at Bodoland.
Writing Script: Devanagiri (Hindi Script)

Bodo Language can be now a days found in some of the Open Source softwares.

1. LibreOffice: An open source office software maintained and developed by Document Foundation which was forked from Open Office. The more information of Bodo Language in LibreOffice can be found in http://brx.libreoffice.org

2. Fedora Linux:  Fedora is a Linux Operating system. It has very secured and beautiful in Design. The current version of Fedora is 17. Our Bodo language has been turning to Translate Fedora Linux from version 17. 4. Gnome: Gnome is an Desktop Environment which is mostly available for Linux and UNIX Operating Systems. Our Bodo Language has also a place in Gnome http://l10n.gnome.org/teams/brx/.

5. Mozilla Firefox: Mozilla firefox is a web browser. We are in progress to add Bodo language.
